Partners In Education: Hispanic Entrepreneur Mentorship Program
The NAHCC Foundation Partners In Education program is a collective effort in partnership with the Public School System, Universities, and other selected institutions and individuals actively engaged in matching businesses and organizations with schools to provide unique programs and services, extra funding and volunteer support.
Our educational efforts also include activities that serve to inform members of our growing Hispanic community. Business related programs are also available to local area Hispanic businesses.
The vision behind the NAHCC Foundation Partners in Education Program is to enrich the learning experience of Nashville's children so that all develop a strong academic foundation, diversity awareness, skills and core values that will benefit them in their community life and in a career.

Latinas In Action (LIA): Addressing Issues Affecting Women in Our Community
NAHCC Foundation founding board member, and board President Loraine Segovia Paz started a committee of Latina women program to address issues affecting Latina entrepreneurs in our market.
LIA's objectives include roundtable discussions about Safety (view WSMV Ch4 story HERE), Economic Development challenges and opportunities, Civic/Community Engagement, Family and Children Health, and Educational resources for local area Latina women. According to U.S Census Bureau, Hispanic female entrepreneurs have great influence in the Hispanic Market. Fast growing Hispanic businesses in America such as Administrative support, Health care, Professional and technical services, Retail business and Warehouses are owned by many Hispanic female entrepreneurs. The number of women-owned businesses in general in the country has grown 50 percent since 1997 a growth rate that's 1.5 times the national average for businesses overall, according to U.S. Census data released last December and analyzed in a recent report by American Express OPEN. Nationally, there are more than 8.1 million women-owned businesses.

Youth Future Technologies Camp/Let's Go Green!
Young people have the key role in resolving global challenges in the future. The target of NAHCC Youth Future Technology Camp is to find young people interested in mathematics, science and technology, and help them start up a career in these fields.
Our NAHCC Youth Future Technology Camp also aims to raise awareness of the future educational and working opportunities available in our country and promoting the NAHCC Future Technology Prize, as our tribute to developers of life-enhancing technological innovations, awarded by our organization.
NAHCC's Youth Future Technology Camp is an inspiring way of offering young people aged 16-19 years an overview of our current understanding of future technologies expertise and top-level research in the natural sciences, mathematics and technology. Students network with each other, with individuals in local companies and organizations, and with top scientists.
During the one-week-camp, our YFT Campers are introduced to a number of leading companies and higher educational institutions. In addition to lectures, workshops and visits to our Partners In Education, our program includes project work supervised by top-level experts and carried out in small multicultural groups.
NAHCC Foundation Bilingual Career Fair
Designed to feature bilingual and multicultural professionals each year in cities throughout West, Middle and East Tennessee. This is is a unique and one of a kind career fair series in our market. The fair provides a opportunities for diversity-conscious employers to meet with professional candidates who have developed language and multicultural skills.
Skilled, professional Hispanic jobseekers in the area, and diversity-conscious employers who are looking to meet qualified Hispanic and bilingual professionals will be matched every year thanks to our career fair
Jobseekers attending the first 2011 Nashville Diversity Career Fair will have the opportunity to network with fellow Hispanic professionals and local chapters of Latino organizations, in addition to meeting corporate employers representatives through matchmaking sessions and panels
Lunch and Learn Series
The NAHCC Foundation offers luncheons as part of their educational initiatives for the purpose of informing members of the community of different relevant topics. Financial Planning, Health & Wellness, Marketing, Public Relations, Telecommunications and Media and many other topics are addressed monthly during a lunch/learn sessions. Speakers and moderators are selected from local professionals. A webcast and video archive library is planned to be available free at our website.
CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH Through Music, Arts & Science
During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) the NAHCC Foundation recognizes the contributions of Latinos to our country through a month long series of art and cultural exhibits, music showcases, diversity awareness public presentations and a Hispanic Heritage Month Awards Ceremony.
Corporate Internship Program
The NAHCC Foundation Corporate Internship Program is designed to offer area students a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience & to pay for the majority of their education. By working five days a month at one of the participating companies & through their families modest tuition contribution, students & families cover a substantial part of the cost of their education. Corporate employers strengthen their clerical staff & receive the helping needy students become tomorrow's able workforce.
